To start off
this discussion on a somewhat humorous note, I have partly copied a poem which
I hope you will enjoy in a parallel viewing.

Blind men
and an Elephant.
In various
versions of this tale which originated in India, a group of blind men touch an
elephant to learn what it is like. Each one feels a different part, but only
one part such as the side or the tusk. Their stories differ primarily on how
the body parts are described.
How violent
the conflict gets and how the conflict amongst the men and their perspectives
are resolved forms the basis of this story.
Google, it
for detailed versions of it - Jain,
Buddhist etc.
It is
surprising that even in these days and age, men kill others for not accepting
their version of God. Hence this meditation, to bring about a change in global
misunderstanding, about generic God.
