Bible.

Many years ago while studying the Bible in earnest.  I asked THS (the same one who was with him from the beginning John 1: 1-18) why did Yeshua tell Peter he would return maybe be even before the death of John Mark and did not?

John 21: 22  Yeshua said, “If I desire him to remain until I return“, what is that to you.

 Even today people are awaiting that return?

He chuckled in fond remembrance and said maybe Yeshua or was it me in Yeshua who said it, because it became necessary at that point in time, to strike while the iron was warm; otherwise Peter would have returned to a life of a fisherman, instead of telling the world which he lived in then, that Yeshua was the Messiah. Paul was also recruited for that very same purpose, all be it for the gentiles.
